In 2007, the two product designers Nik Back and Alexander Stamminger founded the company maigrau. Their common goal was to produce innovative and high-quality furniture, lamps, and home accessories. Products from maigrau are now distributed by over 80 hand-picked sales partners in Germany and Europe, and they may be found in private living spaces as well as professional offices. Products from maigrau reflect the focus of the company's two founders. The products speak a clear language that results from the logic of their functionality and the materials they use. The soul of the products is embodied by the lightness of their design and the high quality of the materials involved. During production, handcrafted products are combined with modern processing methods and production techniques. The company places extra value on meeting the demands of ecological sustainability and all articles are made exclusively in Germany via ecologically friendly processes. The maigrau collection includes products from the most diverse living areas. The collection includes not only furniture, but also lamps. The ›luca‹ family of lamps consists of five individual lamps that can be used in the most diverse home situations. In addition to the ›ten‹ solid wooden table, the ›turn‹ side table, and other interesting products, maigrau is presenting a new product from a young Hamburg designer next spring. The ›home traveller‹, which has already received an award from the design council, involves a mobile storage object that represents a hybrid of a travel bag and a chest of drawers. The advantages of both objects are unified in a single piece of furniture: mobility and storage space. |
