Ryan logo-header

The British company Ryan has been manufacturing contemporary furniture at its factory in the UK since 1987.

Launching at Clerkenwell Design Week, Ryan has turned its focus to seating for waiting and reception areas with the launch of their aptly named ‘Stretch’ sofa.

Stretch has been designed with versatility and comfort in mind and is intended to be a more comfortable solution for multiple seating requirements than, for example, beam seating.

As Simon Cahill, Design Manager at Ryan, put it ‘the beauty of this sofa is its capacity to be used for multiple seating in a form which might typically be associated with a V.I.P lounge, for example, or where comfort and a softer appearance is required.

Stretch, which is available as a standard 2 or 3 seater sofa and armchair, can be configured in any single length, say 8 or 10 seats long for example, or even longer. Additional lengths can be joined at 30, 60 and 90 degree angles.

It can also be specified with arm divisions spaced at intervals along its entire length.

The Stretch sofa has a solid beech frame with legs in Wenge stained beech or Natural Oak and can be specified in a wide range of fabrics.
