Swedish lighting company Zero will exhibit their distinctive lights on the first floor of the Farmiloe Building in May. Their collection will include table, floor and pendant lamps such as the remarkable Loom pendant by British designer Benjamin Hubert, made from a new 3D woven spacer material. It resembles a soft but luminous bell and has to be seen for the texture and feel of this lamp to be fully appreciated. Also on display will be the Grid lamp whose name perfectly describes this industrial mesh clad beam of light by Swedish designers, Front. Gram by Jonas Forsman is a desk lamp of perfectly weighted discs which recall the wonderful mobiles of kinetic sculpture pioneer, Alexander Calder. This is not surprising as Calder's work was the inspiration behind the design. |
