Working from his studio in Hackney, James designs and makes furniture and Products for the domestic and commercial market.

His ethos has been to create objects that are playful yet functional, often working with the properties of different materials while exploiting the defects that come with them.

His background in cabinet making has taught him valuable making skills enabling him to understand the fabrication and process behind an item.

He also works as a freelance designer at Kite Related Design and Loop.ph, working on a variety of high profile projects using fabric and tensile structures.
