Florim's innovation in digital decoration also extends to the new FLORIM stone surfaces, which offer increasingly tactile and three-dimensional effects inspired by the tactile processing of natural stones, and colored mixtures throughout.

Matte Leather Finish 2024

The new “Leather” finish refers to the leather effect characteristic of a natural stone finish, achieved through a process of acid treatment or sandblasting and subsequent brushing. The result is a soft, tactile effect that maintains the veining of the stone, as these processes act on the soft part of the stone itself, creating three-dimensional effects that highlight its natural pattern.

With the FLORIM stone surfaces, new decorative technologies make it possible for Florim to create three-dimensional graphic and textural effects that make the product very similar to the natural material that inspired it. The surfaces achieved with this technology are Stone Montpellier, Stone Dordogne, Stone Chablis, Shake Travertine, Pearl Travertine, Gold Travertine, Blue Granite, Black Granite.

Matte Silk Finish 2024

The new “Silk” finish interprets the matte lapping carried out on natural stone. This technique involves general abrasion of the surface of the stone with coarse-grained grinding stones, before refining it with a finer grain to make the surface soft to the touch but not reflective.

The “Silk” finish of FLORIM stone products 2024 interprets the end result of the process carried out on stone, and is achieved through the use of digital inks which undergo subsequent vigorous brushing after firing. The surfaces produced with this decorative technique are Stone Jura, Marble Aubisque and Purple Stone.
