DOMUS' award winning showroom and home of innovative ceramic design will once again open its doors to all during Clerkenwell's highly acclaimed design festival.
The 700 SQM base for architects and designers provides a unique environment in which to explore tile, mosaic and stone products; new ideas and technical specifications for all types of residential and commercial projects. The showroom is innovative, intuitive and interactive: on the ground floor the samples library contains thousands of porcelain, ceramic, glass, mosaic, and stone samples. The steel and glass staircase leads down to the Domus Technical lab and CPD presentation room: designed with engineers and technical designers in mind, this space contains all the technical products, precision models, cut-aways, floor substrates, and adhesives; showing how they come together to create complete flooring solutions, swimming pool tanks and raised access floors.
Hot from the kiln a number of new product ranges for 2014 will be showcased. Our top billing- 'Mews' - designed by Internationally renowned designers Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby and produced by Mutina - Italy's leading ceramic design house. The collection has been hotly tipped by the world's design press and has already won the 2014 'Wall Covering' Elle Decoration International Design Award. The exhibition of this stunning range will be open to all from 09.00-17.00 throughout Clerkenwell Design Week.

Social media is a confusing and ever-changing medium, and as a result, discussion about where it might go is difficult. But that shouldn't stop us from trying! Join the Domus Tiles tweetup with Dezeen on the evening of Wednesday 21st May where speaker Anna Winston (Dezeen) @AnnaWinston and architect and tweetup champion Susie Clapham @FLASC_ will impart their wisdom on finding your social media 'voice', what works, and the directions it's all likely to evolve in. Plus you get the chance to put faces to twitter handles over a drink and some nibbles. RSVP twtvite.com/CDWTweetup @domustiles #CDWtweetup2014.
Running in tandem with the Domus Tweetup will be our street style photo-competition. We are looking for any photographs that typify 'Clerkenwell Style'. 'Mews by Mutina + Edward Barber + Jay Osgerby'
Domus Tiles will exclusively launch the new 'Mutina + Edward Barber + Jay Osgerby' range 'Mews' on Thursday 22nd May. Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby will give an insight into the London inspired range with an invite-only, evening talk at our Great Sutton Street showroom. Barber & Osgerby live and work in London and are strongly influenced by the city. The Mews collection is inspired by the landscape, the history and the personality of the British capital, and by the huge variety of textures characterising its infrastructures, such as bricks, wooden floors and irregular geometrical patterns. The Barber & Osgerby studio borders Clerkenwell and the mews brochure features striking images of the area's quirky facades as design inspiration for the range. The launch continues the Domus and Mutina tradition of creative, innovative design collaborations, which has seen previous Clerkenwell Design Week talks from Patricia Urquiola and Erwan Bouroullec.
