Moroso was established in 1952 and was the brainchild of Agostino Moroso who founded the company with his wife, to design and make sofas, armchairs and furnishing accessories. The company’s craftsmanship approach to its production of upholstered furniture and a strong creative vein with influences from art, culture and fashion has ensured the growth and success of the family owned and run business. For 60 years Moroso has worked with a pool of designers, including Ron Arad, Patricia Urquiola, Tom Dixon, Ross Lovegrove and many more. This enables the company to offer a very diverse range of products and as a result of innovation driven research in technologies, materials and forms it also enables Moroso to develop bespoke solutions for the hospitality and cruise sectors. Moroso has over the years developed and collection of iconic products which bear a common touch while embodying diverse latitudes and local cultures. This international horizon has ushered the company into some of the most beautiful venues including New York’s MoMA, the Palais de Tokyo and Grand Palais in Paris and many hotels and commercial buildings all over the world. For Clerkenwell Design Week the showroom will feature new products shown in Milan 2011 including Gentry sofa and Klara collection by Patricia Urquiola, Miss Sarajevo sofa by Karmelina Martina and beautiful Paper Plane chairs by Doshi/Levien
