Founded in 1973, Interface is a global leader in the design and production of carpet tiles. Its products combine beauty and innovation with functionality and environmental credentials to help customers bring their design vision to life.
To serve its customers in Europe, Middle East, Africa and India, the company has manufacturing facilities in the UK and the Netherlands, as well as sales offices in most major cities.
Sustainability Leadership In the mid nineties Interface became one of the first companies to publicly commit to doing business in a more sustainable way when it set a bold target – Mission Zero – to achieve a zero environmental footprint by 2020. Mission Zero inspires the company to continually innovate in order to achieve its goal.
Design leadership Interface’s award-winning products reflect the latest design trends and include a number of innovations and industry firsts stemming from the company’s Mission Zero focus.
This year at Clerkenwell Design Week, Interface will be creating a thought provoking interpretation of the topical apocalyptic and rebirth design trend at its London showroom to celebrate the launch of its new collection, Metropolis.
Metropolis, inspired by a number of colliding prophecies and predictions surrounding the apocalypse in 2012, echoes Interface’s interpretation of this dramatic event as the end of the world as we know it, but more importantly, the rebirth of a new future.
In addition to showcasing this stunning new collection, Interface has developed a programme of seminars and interactive discussions with leading industry experts, which will explore current design issues, the importance of innovation and the role of sustainability in design.
