Orangebox 2002 | 2012

In June 2012 Orangebox will celebrate our first decade with major initiatives within the two product categories central to a decade of continuous success, Smartworking and task seating.

In 2002 we launched with our first landscape brochure in which we set out, our approach.

The workplace is changing. We want to work where we can be productive and relaxed. We're looking for flexible solutions to our fast changing working day. Orangebox understands that you go to work to get results and it knows that you're more likely to get them if you're as comfortable at work as you are at home.

A decade later we remain consistent to this view and Smartworking has strengthened to become central to our brand strategy, together with our ambition to continuously redefine the market category of each of our task chairs.

In January we launched Boomers & Millennials a 64 page print and digital magazine which is a project of extensive research into what Orangebox believes will be one of the most exciting periods of change within our industry.

Two fundamental assets within any organisation are its people and the technology they access and both are changing more rapidly than at any time in the history of the workplace.

This dynamic research enables Orangebox to 'look over the hill' and discover how our market will change through the next five to ten years and ensure we are able to continuously create great collaborative workspace.

Spring will see the launch of a major new task chair programme from Orangebox. Our strategy of smart manufacturing will deliver a task chair, which we believe will again redefine value, design and performance and further demonstrate our commitment to environmentally smart manufacturing.

Through this first decade, our vision for Orangebox task seating has continuously expanded as witnessed by the influential and award winning success enjoyed by X10, Joy and Ara.

While the economy in 2012 will no doubt prove testing, our continuous investment in research and development will allow Orangebox to maintain growth and enable expansion into new and dynamic markets.

The pace of change now underway is beautifully summarised with this observation by the great business thinker Peter Druker. "The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic".
