Alias’ story began in 1979 with Giandomenico Belotti’s “spaghetti chair”, a chair characterized by its rounded PVC thread weave, which was one of Alias’ first creations to become part of the MoMA collection in New York. The founding overriding values of Alias are: technological lightness, versatility, innovation. These are the building blocks that have driven the firm’s close association with some renowned designer signatures such as Alberto Meda, Philippe Starck, Alfredo Häberli, James Irvine, PearsonLloyd and Riccardo Blumer. Every project and product is the expression of constant research into materials and production, offering a great look and high levels of practicality.
