Situated in the new Goldsmiths' Centre in Clerkenwell , the Bench Café is designed to provide an environment where not only the Centre staff and inhabitants, but also members of the public can relax and exchange ideas while enjoying good food and drink.

The Bench Cafe is the perfect spot for breakfast, lunch, afternoon teas or an early evening drink with friends or colleagues. This lovely contemporary space benefits from plenty of natural light afforded by large arched windows, inherited from its former life as the covered playground of the original Victorian school.

A delicious range of food is made on the premises – such as homemade muffins and loaf cakes, freshly made soups and gourmet sandwiches served with side salads – these lighter bites are also available as a takeaway option – as well as teas and coffees served throughout the day. The bistro menu offers dishes made from fresh seasonal produce including a variety of tasty salads, pasta dishes, homemade burgers and some irresistible puddings.

The café accommodates up to 60 customers and there is an outdoor terrace for alfresco eating in warmer weather. Roll on summer!
