Supporting UK craft and design from our Clerkenwell base for over 30 years, we recently launched our new galleries. Craft Central has long housed studios, exhibition spaces and business advice for designer makers, but 2013 sees an exciting expansion of our gallery facilities, enabling us to grow our exhibition programme. The Cloud Leopard is set to show off our new gallery to great effect...

To celebrate Clerkenwell Design Week, Craft Central will showcase Solo Kojima's incredible Cloud Leopard paper-cut. Having been on quite a journey since it wowed the Collect crowds at the Saatchi gallery last May, the Cloud Leopard will make a pit stop from its European tour and return to its Clerkenwell home. See the Cloud Leopard from 2-23 May and meet Shari and Nahoko in their Craft Central studio during Made in Clerkenwell (16-19 May).

We've also lined up special CIY: Craft it Yourself workshops. If you're feeling inspired by Clerkenwell Design Week, why not fashion a fascinator, create a cushion, enjoy some screen-printing or make some jewellery?

Also, don't miss Design to Serve curated by Jo Davies and Haidee Drew in the Showcase, Creative Clerkenwell in the Corner Shop and Makers in Residence studio visits.

An exhibition of new objects from a selected group of exciting independent designers on the theme of food presentation, preparation and consumption. All objects on display have been developed for this Clerkenwell Design Week product launch.

As our homes become ever more important to us as places to socialise so does the ritual of eating. Food, and the objects that support its preparation and consumption, have inspired all the objects in this exhibition of selected independent designers. All exhibitors have been chosen for the beauty of their designs and their unique approaches to materials and function.
