Take some time out with Desso and Tarkett
This year, festival goers will be invited to ‘pause for thought’ during the busy three-day event as Desso and Tarkett are creating a packed programme that explores the role interiors, colour, texture and spatial planning play in creating harmony in the workplace harmony.
Using the theme of ‘Reflections’, Desso and Tarkett will challenge the architectural and design community to consider the various styles, personalities and preferences that space users need.
Designer Kia Utzon-Frank has been commissioned to capture the theme in collaboration with textile designer Fay McCaul with a captivating window installation and exhibition featuring the patented Twisting Comb (KUFtwist) by Utzon-Frank.
The programme of events also includes discussions on the future of lighting with Philips Lighting on Tuesday 23rd May.
There will be a presentation from colour experts Pantone on the effect of colour in the workplace, and a ‘Colourful People’ workshop exploring the personalities and working styles at play in the office on Wednesday 24th May in addition to Trevor Flynn from Drawing at Work.
Finally, find out whether designers can create workplaces for conflicting modes and needs in an informal discussion led by design journalist Katie Treggiden on Thursday 25th May, culminating in the ever so popular Open Mic event!
