Matt studied Architecture Interiors at the Royal College, following a degree in Architecture from the University of Cambridge.

Matt has worked with practices in Hong Kong, London and New York including Michael Hopkins and Robert AM Stern, with experience of masterplanning, mixed-use, residential and hospitality projects. In 2005, Matt was awarded a grant by NESTA to engage with developers, communities and young people in urban and educational projects, to aid with unlocking communities’ latent creativity on regeneration projects.

In 2010, he became the Creative Director and Group Architect at Beyond Green Group, an environmental consultancy and developer in London, where he worked across the company’s portfolio of development projects, helping turn ideas for great ways of living into designs for sustainable places.

In 2016, Matt joined Greenwich Peninsula as Head of Design, where he oversees projects as part of the development of Europe’s largest regeneration project; a new London. Most recently, this has included The Tide, London’s first riverside and elevated cultural park, opening to the public in July 2019, and the Design District, a fully pedestrianised purpose-built district for the creative industries, launching in April 2020 on the Peninsula.
