Lansdown’s London tour guide, Karen took visitors on a free walking tour to discover Clerkenwell's rich history.
Clocks and Crusaders, Gin and Jerusalem, Radicals and Criminals all featured in this 90 minute guided walk which explored the narrow streets of Clerkenwell bursting with colourful characters, fascinating stories and hidden gems. It also included a visit to the well that gave Clerkenwell its name – usually only available by appointment.
During Clerkenwell Design Week six locations on the walk featured artworks inspired by their history which had been created by UAL Chelsea College of Arts, BA Graphic Design Communication students.
Karen is an official Clerkenwell and Islington tour guide and a tutor on the Clerkenwell & Islington Tour Guiding course at the University of Westminster.
The 90 minute circular tour began and ended at Farringdon Station.
