The world of design has an abundance of awards and recognitions of excellence, from the Red Dot Awards to the Design Guild Mark, alongside publications and industry bodies such as RIBA and SBID, each with its own methodology to assess architectural and design supremacy. This session will debate the value and importance of these systems from the already established  to the more recently introduced awards. Anna King, CEO and Founder of Informare, will be joined by a Design Guild Mark and William Knight who is a Director of the BETTER FUTURE Awards and co-founder of Material Matters, to discuss what these accolades mean for the designers who win them and the industry as a whole?
