Don’t miss Surdico Design’s UK launch at #CDW2018!

Surdico Design, a new furniture design studio, is launching during CDW. With a Nordic yet industrial look, Surdico Design pieces aim to add comfort to their surroundings, provide versatility in their function, and be iconic in their style.

Martin Kugelmass, Surdico Design’s creator, draws his inspiration from his surroundings and from nature itself. The concept is reflected on the lines both in name and form. Using oak and steel as the main materials, the pieces are produced in London by local craftsmen; the design results from a focus on the functionality that London homes require as well as the aesthetic that represents its people.

During the exhibit, the studio will be showcasing pieces from two collections, Universo and West:

Universo, inspired by elements of outer space, is comprised of four products: Stela, Gala, Eclipse and Nucleo, representing a standing lamp, a coat hanger, a mirror and a coffee table respectively;

The West line, inspired by London’s western neighbourhoods, will be represented at the event by the Richmond rack and the Olympia bookshelf.

Surdico Design was originally established in Uruguay in 2015 and has since been present also in Brazil. After moving to London in 2016, Martin Kugelmass, an Industrial Designer, focused on designing lines to suit the requirements and styles of Londoners, and with that aim he created Surdico UK. Over the course of 2017 he has been researching locally-based craftsmen in order to assemble a team of talented local producers who share his focus on quality and passion for their work.

The studio aims to combine multiple functionalities with beautiful designs across its range of products. All of the pieces provide at least one additional capability besides its core function.

Surdico Design’s pieces are available at The studio also works with bespoke commissions.
