Emily Beavan is one of Alison Brooks Architects most experienced housing designers. She has worked across London, driving projects forward to deliver exemplary housing schemes of high quality design and across different tenures and typologies.
Most recently she has focused on South Kilburn and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, liaising closely with local authorities, communities, developers and construction teams to bring contextual, design-driven solutions to London’s housing needs.
With a passion for the civic and sociological aspects of architecture, Emily regularly participates in workshops and events with local community groups and organisations such as Open City and The Architecture Foundation. She has conducted research into the formation of social groups and subsequent division, and the ways in which people generate a collective sense of ownership within a diverse urban context.
