Orac and Roelfien Vos introduce a new collection of architectural wall elements
Ostend, 15 April 2026 — Orac presents a new collection of wall and interior profiles designed by interior architect Roelfien Vos. With more than 25 years of experience in high-end residential and yachting design, Vos is known for her strong attention to detail, materiality, and spatial balance. In collaboration with Orac, she translates this design philosophy into a series of architectural elements inspired by the atmosphere of the Roaring Twenties. Flowing lines and spherical details create a rhythmic formal language that enriches contemporary interiors with layering, elegance, and a subtle architectural dynamism.
Curvature and rhythm as a formal language
The collection emerged directly from Roelfien Vos’s design practice, where several elements were originally developed for specific projects. The wall ornaments Link and Medallion form the starting point of this formal vocabulary: circles, spheres, and linear rhythms that subtly reference the elegance of the Roaring Twenties and Art Deco. Building on these motifs, she develops a modular system of architectural elements that can be applied both horizontally and vertically.
The wall panels Swirl and Chain translate these same rounded lines into larger-scale compositions of arches and elongated ovals, giving entire wall surfaces a calm, repeating rhythm. The Scallop panel introduces a gentle wave-like movement, where successive arches create a relief that allows light and shadow to play across the surface.
Together, these elements form a modular system that enables designers to construct patterns, frames, and wall compositions. By combining the elements horizontally or vertically, an architecture of lines and curves emerges, defined by a layered materiality in which architecture and interior converge.
A scenographic presentation in the Orac showroom
The collection is presented through a scenographic installation within the Orac showroom. In this space, new and existing Orac ornaments are brought together in an interior inspired by the atmosphere of the Roaring Twenties—a time when interiors embraced elegance and a touch of theatrical flair.
The scenography demonstrates how Orac solutions—from profiles and 3D wall panels to elements for indirect lighting—transform walls and ceilings into integral components of the interior, providing designers with the building blocks to give spaces structure, rhythm, and identity.
Through this collaboration, Orac shows how architectural panels and skirting boards are not merely decorative features, but essential building blocks in shaping spatial environments.
