Running from 19 to 21 May 2026, Clerkenwell Design Week will turn the Ethimo Flagship Store in London into a space for exploration and imagination with “Out of Boundaries: Design & Art in Dialogue. Elena Salmistraro for Ethimo”. A special project, transformed into an innovative installation dedicated to collaboration with Elena Salmistraro and developed around Loop, the new sofa that reworks outdoor living with a fluid, unfettered vision that is “out of boundaries”. With a shape as sculpted as it is soft, this element embodies the fusion between the designer’s creative vision and the expertise of Ethimo in the world of outdoor design. An immersive visit brings alive an experience that goes beyond the simple showcasing of a product, where a piece of furniture is never just an object but an integral part of a broader, transversal language. Alongside Loop, a series of original graphics by Elena Salmistraro offer a glimpse into her creative imaginary: strokes, colours, and shapes entwine in a visual storytelling that blurs the boundaries between art and design. And the result of this creative dialogue is Loop: more than just an outdoor sofa, it is a fluid, almost organic presence, generous in its seamless volumes. A liveable shape that wraps around and reconnects (also to itself) like a natural rhythm with neither beginning nor end, prompting spontaneous, relational, and naturally free use of space.
