The best thing about a handmade tile is all the little imperfections and variations, it’s what gives them real character and soul. Our crackle tiles share the same crazed white glaze as our original crackle pendant lights, and we absolutely love it.

Claire, our Ceramics Studio Manager, spent a long time developing the glaze to make sure that the crackles came out just right in every firing. This was balanced with finding the perfect shade of white and the right sheen and we couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. At a distance they almost look like plain old white metro tiles but up close the delicate web of crackles just feels so special and really out of the ordinary.
