The concept offers a genuine step change for specifiers and their clients. One chair frame can now serve different contexts, refresh its aesthetic over time, or adapt to new interiors without replacing the structure it sits in — making the Highgate 3-in-1 as relevant to hospitality and workspace projects as it is to residential settings.

The three seats of the Highgate 3-in-1:

• Padded leather sling seat  - The original Highgate seat. Natural vegetable-tanned hide lightly padded and tension-fitted across the frame with contrast stitching. The feel improves with use.
• Padded Bananatex sling seat  - A 100% plant-based canvas woven from abacá, grown in a permaculture environment in the Philippines. Lightly padded, plastic-free, circular by design and certified to Cradle to Cradle principles. A quieter, more natural character on the same frame.
• Solid oak seat -  Precision CNC-machined from the same AA-grade FSC European oak as the frame. Grain-matched and oiled to a continuous finish. Slots cleanly into the frame and sits flush within it.

The leather and Bananatex sling seats both use TAMART's signature tension-fitting mechanism, which allows comfort and posture to be adjusted and reset by the user. Additional seat inserts are available to order separately, allowing specifiers to offer clients seasonal variation, material choice within a single project, or a straightforward refresh without purchasing new chairs.
