Rinascenza
The project explores surfaces as a cultural language, delving into the roots of Italian architectural history and reinterpreting its iconic elements with a contemporary and essential eye: from sandstone to metallic weaves, from ceppo lombardo reimagined in warm tones inspired by Siena’s medieval towers, to the unique presence of cork.
Arena, Tesserae, Modulo and Basamento are more than surface finishes they are fragments of a shared vision, renewed. A natural bridge between past, present, and future, a synthesis of structure, proportion, and substance. The large-format slabs remind us that beauty is not mere ornament, but essence: proportion that speaks of harmony, balance that becomes emotion, and a living memory of the culture of building that transcends time. From Vitruvius to Leon Battista Alberti, from Ravenna’s mosaics to Palladian geometry, Borromini’s details, rationalist symmetry, and the material sensibility of Carlo Scarpa, the lineage is clear.
