Schlüter-DITRA
Schlüter‑DITRA is a bonded uncoupling membrane designed to accommodate movement between tile coverings and substrates, reducing the risk of cracking and debonding. Installed beneath ceramic and natural stone tiles, DITRA is suitable for a wide range of substrates, including cement screeds, concrete, timber and mixed constructions.
The membrane’s studded, polyethylene design provides effective uncoupling, load distribution and vapour pressure equalisation, while the fleece‑backed underside ensures secure adhesion to the substrate using standard tile adhesives. When used with Schlüter sealing tapes, DITRA also functions as a waterproofing layer, making it ideal for both dry and wet areas.
With a low build‑up height and compatibility with underfloor heating systems such as Schlüter‑DITRA‑HEAT, the membrane supports efficient, durable floor constructions in residential and commercial applications. As part of the Schlüter‑Systems portfolio, DITRA integrates seamlessly with complementary waterproofing and edge protection solutions, simplifying specification and delivering long‑term performance.
