Smudge Light

01 Mar 2020

Smudge Light

I will be launching my new lighting collection in collaboration with marketing agency Linney Regenerate by creatively reusing their waste material to produce stylish, playful lighting. I design contemporary objects with the intention of having zero waste and therefore no impact on the environment. Inspired by Linny's empty ink tubes and used sheet metal, I created the Smudge pendant light manufactured entirely from waste material. I loved the stripes of ink left inside the tubes, each with its own unique look. To add a fun twist, I decided to wrap the metal around the rim of the tube, choosing to colour it in matching chalkboard paint. Every pendant can be customised with chalk patterns or shapes for that individual look. Creating affordable design from waste, supporting a circular economy whilst giving a percentage of sales to charity.

Made you look - Made you care
