ST8
The ST8 is based on the idea of fundamentally rethinking the traditional wooden chair from the inside out. At the centre of the design process lies a reinterpretation of the structural principles that define the classic timber frame construction. This innovative approach gives the chair its distinctive character and reveals an unexpected perspective when viewed upside down.
Despite its solid appearance, the ST8 is remarkably lightweight and easy to handle. It offers generous seating comfort while remaining practical for everyday use in hospitality, workplace and public environments. The chair can be stacked up to six units high, with the stacking function integrated discreetly into the design so that functionality never dominates its visual clarity.
As described by Martin Bergmann of EOOS, the ST8 is “substantial, comfortable, light” — a chair that combines durability and ease of movement with a refined architectural presence.
