Our Crackle Pendant Lights are cast in plaster moulds from a sandy crank slip. Once leather hard, they are carefully trimmed, finished, and removed from their moulds to fully dry before being bisque fired.

The crackles, also known as ‘crazing’, happen when the glaze is under tension and shrinks more than the clay body underneath it. The effect is amazing and completely unique - no two shades ever crackle in the same way.
