The Timbre Bowl began with a technical challenge: how to create a continuous 360° wavy joint using contrasting timbers. From this exploration emerged a series of pieces that combine CNC-led joinery and traditional woodturning, balancing robotic machining with the tactility of handcraft.
Made in the THIS IS OINK workshop, the Timbre Bowl is crafted through a process developed to reveal hidden layers of joinery within the form. It's the largest piece in THIS IS OINK’s Timbre collection, made from Ash and Walnut and finished with a food safe hard-wax oil.
