Venue Tables

Broome Jenkins are pleased to announce the launch of Venue Tables at Clerkenwell Design Week 2022.  Exhibiting for the first time, Venue Tables can be found in the POP section of CDW, stand number LS06.

Created by award winning designers - Broome Jenkins, Venue Tables, a comprehensive range of tables designed to suit a range of settings, draws on more than 30 years of experience working internationally with leading manufacturers of contract furniture.

Informed by their experience of designing furniture systems, Broome Jenkins knows that complex assemblies and large component inventories are of little value to the user and no longer economically or environmentally justifiable. Therefore, simplicity is central to Venue Tables design approach. With a focus on efficiency and practicality, Venue Tables are adaptable, reliable and universal. A patent application was made in 20221

Thinking about practicality, tables universally support a wide range of activities. Whether used for work, recreation or entertainment, tables can define the purpose of a space. So whilst efficiency is a vital aspect of Venue Tables as a product, the real focus is to support different activities across a range of settings from lounge to office, café to conference room . Venues are places where things happen. This idea gave rise to the name and is expressed through a practical range comprising four heights of table, in three sizes of steel tube. The range starts with 40cm high tables for use in lounges and reception areas. Then 72cm high tables for cafes, and canteens, 74cm high for seated applications such as workspaces and 105cm for standing tables. Add tops of different shapes, sizes and materials, and the opportunities are endless.

Applying the aims of simplicity and efficiency through the design process made the choice of materials obvious. Tubular steel is strong, cost effective and recyclable. It has therefore been an essential material in the making of contract furniture for some time, although often overlooked. However, steel-tube is once again the material of choice, due in part to the use of modern laser cutting, which means that greater precision can be achieved, as well as new ways to join and fabricate tubular components and frames. Venue Tables use these methods to create a simple yet unique frame assembly.  As a result, it was also possible to reduce waste, welding and additional operations. This is important as efficiency is central to Venue Tables in terms of sustainable design, manufacture and application.

The Broome Jenkins team look forward to showing you Venue Tables at CDW, you can find more information on-line at www.venuetables.com.
