His eponymous design studio was founded in 2012 and has since created best-selling and successful products for respected clients including The Conran Shop, Heal’s, Deadgood, Hitch Mylius, Modus and most recently French brand Objekto
As well as being exhibited at the London Design Museum, Magnus has won awards from The Furniture Makers Company, including the inaugural Jonathan Hindle Prize for Excellence in Design.
In his work Magnus creates useful and handsome objects in human-scales for clients in both domestic and commercial sectors, creating elegant and functional designs that have an enduring personality.
He is currently working on a new project for the charity Maggie’s.
Magnus studied Furniture and Product Design at Nottingham Trent University. After working for Colebrook Bosson Saunders, then twentytwentyone, he started as a young designer in 2005 with self-produced designs shown in Milan and London and in the same year co-founded the luminous design collective Viable London which later disbanded in 2012 (Magnus continues to co-design with former VL member Gala Wright on their ‘Naked’ collection for Deadgood).
Magnus is also an Associate Lecturer at Central Saint Martins, recently ranked the world’s number 2 ranked arts school, where he tutors about the process of design.
