Benchmark have just launched the Gleda chair designed by SPACE Copenhagen, the Danish Design Studio behind New York’s award winning 11 Howard Hotel and the world leading Danish restaurant Noma. It is available in a range of heights and with or without arms making it suitable for workspace, hotel and home. Benchmark have also added a number of other new pieces to their collection included work by young designers Byron&Gomez and Hugh Miller as well as their own Sean Sutcliffe.
As well as having their own furniture collection, Benchmark have been making bespoke loose and fitted furniture for workspaces, hotels, restaurants, retail, public buildings and private residences for over thirty years. One of Benchmark’s most recent projects, the new Saville Row Headquarters designed by Piercy & Co for Derwent London is a masterpiece of artisanship befitting of its rich history of craft and tailoring. Simple forms and natural materials deliver elegance and beauty. Benchmark made bespoke freestanding and fitted furniture for throughout the space as well as the fluted, oak panelling and three storey hanging staircase that defines the space.
At Clerkenwell Design week 2018, Benchmark will be launching a new collection of furniture designed to sit as comfortably in a modern and creative workplace as design hotel or home. Each piece is designed with depth of meaning and handmade by Benchmark’s skilled craftsmen in our Dorset and Berkshire workshops.
