Last week’s Clerkenwell Design Trail brought the A&D community together to re-connect and network across Clerkenwell’s historic cobbles
The stand-alone event brought the area to life as CDW's iconic pink trail, flags and window vinyl returned to EC1. The two-day programme was jam-packed with engaging events allowing visitors to explore the area and discover the latest cutting-edge products for commercial interiors. CDT showrooms showcased product launches and new collections as well as hosting workshops, talks, demonstrations, parties and more, spotlighting Clerkenwell as the UK's most important hub for design.
New for this year’s CDT, SBID (The Society of British and International Interior Design) invited attendees to join a curated and guided tour of leading surfaces and ceramics suppliers. The tour included visits to Tarkett, RAK Ceramics, Parkside and Karndean who all hosted workshops, demonstrations and even afternoon tea!
Participating showrooms included high-end furniture, surfaces, acoustic specialist, kitchen and bathroom brands who threw open their doors for a series of engaging events over the two days.
Some of the programme highlights included Parkside with their British Terrazzo Tile Making workshop. Guests were invited to mix their own 100% British Terrazzo using low carbon cement. Attendees also joined Havwoods for The Journey of Wood Flooring, a RIBA Accredited CPD session.
AllSfär hosted a fun planting workshop with expert guidance from Oasis Plants followed by drinks and nibbles, and Mapei organised a series of RIBA Accredited CPD sessions exploring tile installation, swimming pool construction and more!
Thank you to everyone who explored, connected and networked at this year's Clerkenwell Design Trail. There was so much to see and do and we look forward to seeing you all soon for #cdw24 from 21-23 May!
