Adipat Virdi
Adipat Virdi is an internationally recognised immersive strategist, narrative systems architect and creative technology leader working at the forefront of immersive storytelling, generative AI and experience design. With more than two decades of experience spanning XR, spatial computing, live experience and AI-enabled media, he is known for pioneering approaches that transform audiences from passive consumers into active participants emotionally, ethically and behaviourally.
A former Executive Director of XR (Global) at Cinesite and Global Creative Product Lead for Immersive at Meta across Oculus, Reality Labs and Creative Shop, Adipat has advised leading global brands and institutions including Nike, Gucci, Harrods, Real Madrid, BBC, HSBC and Sony on how emerging technologies can be translated into meaningful, scalable and production-ready experiences.
Alongside his industry leadership, Adipat is the founder of Adipat Virdi Presents, an independent studio and consultancy focused on empathy-driven immersive experiences for culture, education and social impact. His acclaimed body of work includes projects such as I Am, Other, Killing Honour and Sharaf’s Journey, which explore themes of identity, bias, migration and belonging through audience-as-protagonist design.
Under this umbrella, Adipat is also engaged in practice-based research that underpins the Empathy Engine Framework (EEF) - a methodology that combine immersive storytelling, behavioural design and AI-enabled systems to create experiences that are emotionally resonant, ethically grounded and strategically deployable. In 2025, he contributed to the IBC Accelerator Programme on generative AI frameworks for media production, helping shape approaches to workflow design, controllability, ethics, IP risk and scalable deployment.
A sought-after international keynote speaker represented by A-Speakers, Adipat regularly advises organisations, cultural institutions and leadership teams on the future of immersive experience, empathy-led innovation and AI-powered storytelling. Across all his work, he is recognised for one defining capability: turning complex technological and cultural shifts into clear, human-centred experiences that create both commercial value and meaningful social impact.
