Carmela Dagnello is a lighting professional with over 20 years of experience spanning lighting design, sales, and business development. She holds a Master’s in Architectural Lighting from Hochschule Wismar and a Bachelor’s in Product Design from Politecnico di Bari, shaping her holistic approach to lighting.

As the UK Ambassador for Women in Lighting (WIL), Carmela advocates for gender equality, amplifying women’s voices and fostering a more inclusive industry. Her work highlights disparities in workplace perceptions and drives awareness for positive change.

She is also a Contract Manager at Flos, a renowned lighting brand celebrated for its innovation, design excellence, and sustainability since 1962. In this role, she collaborates closely with architects and designers to develop tailored lighting solutions that embody Flos’s commitment to quality and human-centric design. Her transition to the manufacturer side reinforces her belief that lighting is about more than just products—it’s about shaping meaningful experiences through light.
