Giles Miller
Founded in 2011 by Giles Miller, a British artist known for creating large-scale, immersive sculptural works best described as ‘sensory artistry’, the studio explores the interplay of surface, structure and sculpture through innovative artworks that speak to the senses – artworks that are good for you…
Each piece is an interactive experience designed to evoke awe, serenity, joy and emotional resonance. Marrying traditional craftsmanship with advanced technologies, and fusing that expertise with constant neurological research, Giles’s work occupies a unique space between creative expression and scientific exploration. Many of his artworks are produced in the UK, mostly between a production workshop in Buckinghamshire and his personal studio and gallery in Suffolk, where Giles and his team bring complex ideas to life through material experimentation and meticulous attention to detail. Many of these pieces are then shipped and installed in destinations around the world.
Grounded in neuroscientific research, the studio’s practice harnesses nature-inspired forms to foster well-being. Tactile sculptures that play with light can reduce digital fatigue and modern stress. Organic curves and rhythmic, fractal geometries create a sense of movement and harmony, while materiality plays a central role in emotional impact—whether it’s the warmth of wood, the elegance of metal, or the grounding quality of ceramic.
“Every project we create – whether it’s an outdoor installation or a piece of sensory art inside a building – involves a process of deep consultation with the client and many hours of research, teamwork and meticulous assembly,” says Miller. “The breadth of work coming out of our studio in Suffolk, and the international clients we have, is a testament to our team who work so hard to make pieces that are created for how they feel, not just now they look.”
