Raw Edges
Yael Mer and Shay Alkalay founded the design studio Raw-Edges after graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2007.
Colours, patternmaking and movement form a large part of the DNA at Raw-Edges. The ideas of energy and provocative illusion are aimed at bringing out the kid in all of us.
Raw Edges’ witty and inventive approach has led to great collaborations with international companies including Vitra, Louis Vuitton, Stella McCartney and Airbnb.
Following their work, the studio was awarded several prestigious awards including AW 2020 Designers of the Year, Designers of the Future by Design by Miami/ Basel, Wallpaper* awards and Elle Deco international Design Award and their designs were acquired for the permanent collections at international museums, including the MoMA in New-York.
