Toby Neilson
Toby is the Principal Director at BDG architecture + design, specialising in development strategy and the adaptive re-use of existing buildings.
Over six years, Toby delivered a global co-location program for WPP, transforming diverse sites, including a Madrid telephone exchange and a Milan Ceramics factory, into vibrant, contemporary workspaces.
He has also overseen deep retrofit projects on London's Southbank, including Sea Containers, Rose Court and the former FT HQ building at One Southwark Bridge.
Currently the studio are delivering a new London HUB for The LEGO Group and refurbishment and extension of Google’s Amsterdam HQ.
Toby splits his time between the UK and Brazil where he established a project studio in São Paulo, to complete WPP's largest campus there. Out of the office he serves as an AJRetrofit Awards judge and UCL Part 3 Professional Examiner.
