Una Barac
Una Barac is an internationally recognized architect and the Founder and Executive Director of Atellior, a London- and Zagreb-based architecture and interior design studio renowned for its impactful work in the hospitality, luxury, and mixed-use sectors.
Una began her architectural career at the prestigious practice Foster + Partners, where she developed a strong foundation in design excellence, technical rigor, and attention to detail. She subsequently spent fourteen years in the hospitality design sector with a leading corporate architecture studio, during which she was responsible for delivering high-profile hotel and resort projects including Sheraton Dubrovnik Riviera, Park Plaza developments along the Adriatic Coast, and Hilton Bournemouth, gaining valuable experience in large-scale waterfront and resort environments.
In 2017, Una founded Atellior, growing the practice into a respected international studio delivering bespoke architectural and interior design solutions for world-class hotel brands and boutique hospitality clients across Europe. Her portfolio encompasses projects for major global hotel groups including Accor, Hilton, Marriott, InterContinental Hotel Group, Radisson Hotel Group, Four Seasons, and Kerzner International, among others.
Alongside hospitality architecture, Una has developed strong expertise in masterplanning and mixed-use developments, leading complex greenfield and urban regeneration projects that integrate hotels, branded and private residences, wellness, retail, and public realm. Notably, she is involved in Cavtat Marina Resort, a mixed-use development comprising a luxury hotel, marina, waterfront promenade with an extensive food and beverage offering, branded and private residences, villas, and a destination spa.
She also recently completed the design of SIRO Boka Place, a landmark mixed-use greenfield development comprising a hotel, branded and private residences, which was awarded the prestigious AHEAD Europe Award for New Concept, recognizing excellence in hospitality-led design.
Una’s design approach is rooted in a deep understanding of brand values, guest experience, and contextual sensitivity. She seamlessly combines architectural rigor with interior design creativity to craft environments that are both functionally exceptional and emotionally resonant — ranging from heritage restorations and waterfront resorts to contemporary luxury hotels and large-scale masterplanned destinations.
Her career reflects a sustained commitment to advancing hospitality and mixed-use design that elevates user experience while responding thoughtfully to cultural, historical, and environmental context, positioning her as a significant voice in contemporary architecture and design.
