Join the Austrian Collection for an in-conversation with interior designer Theresa Obermoser from TO Design and writer and director Jack about the power of ‘Storytelling through Interior Design’. Theresa and Jack will explore their common interest for telling stories through objects that matter, while highlighting and honouring exceptional craftmanship and innovation along the way. You can expect an exciting discussion on Interior Design’s ability to transform our surroundings and living spaces into a narrative that we can connect with on a deeper level.
Theresa Obermoser is an Austrian award-winning Interior Designer who works on projects internationally with her signature style of casual and timeless elegance. A true design powerhouse, her portfolio ranges from private residencies to hotels, from store interiors to private members clubs. At the heart of every project remains her commitment to ‘create spaces that inspire and resonate with the human spirit’. Film maker Jack Sibson is a frequent guest speaker on the creative industries and is in the process of filming a narrative documentary on the Slovenian minority in Austria. He is also in development with his debut feature film, The Shepherd - a psychological drama set in the Carinthian Alps.

Join the Austrian Collection at Clerkenwell Design Week for a special viewing of the exhibition and a talk on ‘Planning to Stay Different’ by Gabriel Roland, Director of Vienna Design Week as they celebrate 20 years of Vienna Design Week. What do Design Festivals do in order to stay relevant, innovative, and exciting? How do they bridge the gaps between popular appeal and professional depth, between international connection and local specifics? With Vienna Design Week’s 20th edition coming up in September, Gabriel will attempt a recipe for ever-adapting yet grounded planning and share insights ranging from craft to urban innovation and from product design to digital experiments – all through the filter of Vienna’s very own heritage, hospitality, and character. The talk will be introduced by Marlon Cera-Marle, Director of Clerkenwell Design Week, and is kindly supported by ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA UK and the Austrian Cultural Forum London.
