Interiors from Spain presents El Salón
A Spanish design installation produced by DisegnoINTERIORS FROM SPAIN presents El Salón, a Spanish design installation at Clerkenwell Design Week 2026. Produced by Disegno, the London-based design journal, and taking place in the Chapter Hall of the Museum of the Order of St John, the installation will engage with the building’s historic fabric while offering a striking platform for contemporary Spanish design.
El Salón
Contemporary Spanish design unfurls within the Order of St John’s, with designer Tomás Alonso creating a textile landscape within the space’s historic Chapter Hall. Displaying a curated selection of designs from leading Spanish brands, the installation highlights the breadth, depth and quality of contemporary Spanish production.
In Spanish, "El Salón” defines a large room within a house – a flexible space of social gatherings and entertaining. For Clerkenwell Design Week, Tomás Alonso Studio has adopted this typology, converting the Chapter Hall of the historic Order of St John’s into a curated display of contemporary Spanish Design. Within El Salón, the studio welcomes guests into a space devoted to exploring the face of Spanish design and manufacturing in 2026.
The exhibition brings together pieces by APE Grupo, a·emotional light, BPM Lighting, Huguet, Ideatec, Joquer, RS Barcelona, Sanycces and Sellex.
