The Italian Trade Agency (ITA) returns to Clerkenwell Design Week with an expanded showcase celebrating the strength and evolution of Italian design. Since first participating in 2022, its presence has grown from promoting surface materials through the Ceramics of Italy initiative to a broader platform encompassing furniture and interior design, supporting around 40 companies exploring opportunities in the UK market.
This year, in partnership with Interni, the presentation introduces The Italian Hospitality, a curated installation conceived by architect Giulio Cappellini, Design Ambassador for Italian Design Day 2026. The project reflects Italy’s distinctive ability to combine industrial production with artisanal craftsmanship, offering a cohesive vision of contemporary living rooted in quality and innovation.
As described by Cappellini, the installation “represents a lounge furnished with Italian-made pieces, where industrial products coexist with handcrafted items, showcasing the expertise and quality of Italian production. The space is designed in shades of green combined with neutral tones and refined materials – an environment to admire and experience.”
Through this installation, the showcase highlights the enduring appeal of Italian manufacturing, where style, elegance and technical expertise come together in response to the evolving demands of the global design landscape.
