As part of Clerkenwell Design Week, Plia Parasols will be transforming Charterhouse Gardens into an open-air gallery of texture and pattern.
Ten parasols, crafted using fabric from different design houses, will bring together a curated mix of contemporary and heritage textile brands, including Morris & Co, Christopher Farr Cloth, Colefax & Fowler, Houlès, Liberty and Schumacher.
The installation will offer a moment of surprise and pause within the festival route, drawing the eye, sparking conversation, and encouraging visitors to slow down, look up, and experience the gardens in a new way.
